Crime Line

A Hudson crime line was put in place to promote better enforcement of existing laws and to help in the apprehension and conviction of criminals. Citizens are encouraged to call our crime line to help develop a community offensive against crime. Members of the public are motivated to cooperate with the Hudson Police Department and other law enforcement agencies within Hillsborough County through rewards and awards established by a regional crime line program.

If you or anyone you know has a tip that might help us solve a crime, call our Crime Line at (603)594-1150 and speak with the Detective Sergeant.

Hudson Police Relief Association

Any person that is a Hudson Police Department employee is eligible to become an active member of the Hudson Police Relief Association. The Association receives monies from fund raising activities and from private donations.

The Association awards a scholarship to an Alvirne High School graduate that intends to further their education in some type of criminal justice field. Every year during the past few years donations have also been made to such organizations as C.H.I.P.S., Hudson Police Explorers, and The Hudson/ Litchfield Rotary Club. The Association also maintains a fund that can be used if police department members become injured or ill and need emergency assistance.

Recognition Committee

The Recognition Committee was set up by the Hudson Police Department in conjunction with the Hudson Junior Woman’s Club to recognize any sworn, civilian, or part time employee of the Hudson Police Department on a monthly basis.

The criteria for nomination includes any employee who displays commitment, loyalty, and dedication to the department, any employee who goes above and beyond the call of duty in performing their job, meets the goals addressed in the Hudson Police Department Mission Statement, and meets community service with enthusiasm and dedication. A nomination may be for any employee who shows outstanding performance or service in a specific event or function as well.

Winners for each month are posted on the department’s marquee located outside the station and are engraved on a plaque in the station’s community room. In addition to monthly recognition, the Hudson Junior Woman’s Club recognizes one of the twelve employees at year’s end as the employee of the year.
